ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS
~ FLOWERS, ANIMALS AND THE LIVING LANDSCAPE ~
I am interested in the spaces between what we see and what we feel.
Nature has always been more than a subject to me.
It is about creating an encounter with it.
My paintings explore what happens when observation becomes feeling: the fleeting quality of light, the movement of a petal, the stillness of an animal, or the changing rhythm of a landscape.
Every painting is entirely hand-made, and exists only once.
About the Artist
My work explores the emotional language of flowers, wildlife and landscapes, and our enduring connection with the natural world.
Flowers can carry tenderness and joy. Wildlife can evoke vulnerability, strength and presence. Landscapes can hold atmosphere, memory and a sense of somewhere we have known - or somewhere we long to return to.
I move between realistic and expressive approaches depending on the subject, my mood and the story I want the painting to tell. Some works are carefully observed; others become looser, more gestural and abstract as I paint.
I don’t want to be confined to a single visual language. For me, versatility is part of staying curious - allowing each subject to find its own way onto the canvas.
